Flyboarding in the Thames

Here are a few snaps from my attempt at flyboarding. It took a while to get used to the balance and I am sure my dolphins were not great but I had a amazing time!

Welcome to Rory Neill is 30!

To my wonderful husband Rory,

I thought i’d avoid the obvious trappings of a 30th birthday present (so unfortunately no blingy watches for you), and instead appeal to both your love for all things IT as well as your great sense of adventure 🙂 I have planned something new to do every month of this coming year as I think we could all do with a little nudge in the right direction sometimes- especially as sometimes real life gets in the way of new adventures. Some of the experiences will be gruelling, some of them fun but I hope by the end of this year, you will feel challenged, enriched and probably a little bit tired! I will be with you for some of the experiences, for others I will be simply cheering you on from the sidelines- probably holding the bags and taking pics/videos for this blog! Everyone can then see what a year you’re having 🙂

Here is your schedule for the next year… Let the 12 months of good times begin!

May: GO APE– we have been meaning to do this for a while but now it is all booked and we will be off up those trees next Saturday at 11:30 with Jack and Emma! Eeek i’m practising my relaxation techniques already!

 go ape

June: Segways– on Saturday 14th June, we will be heading to Grafham Water in Cambridge (apparently it’s beautiful) to get out Seg on! It’s a morning experience and after we can head off to find a nice pub lunch- off the beaten track 😉

segway (3)

JulyWimbledon – well unfortunately, we haven’t managed to ever get tickets for this (I’m checking at it’s about 1000 pounds to find tickets haha) but I think it will still be brilliant fun to go down one afternoon after work (or afternoon off) and sit on Henman Hill/Murray Mount and eat strawberries and cream!

wimbles

August: James bond- Flyboarding! I know you’ve always fancied trying this 🙂 You are off to the Docklands to whizz into the air with a jetpack on your back! I- and anyone else who fancies it- will be watching on (probably holding your bags again!) and praying you don’t go too high haha. It’ll be 11am-1pm so we can go for a nice London lunch afterwards… if you’re not too wet! Enjoy 🙂

September: Tough Mudder– In Winchester you will be completing a 12 mile obstacle course with James and Andy. Tickets are booked, you better get training 🙂 https://toughmudder.co.uk/events/2015-london-south We are all booked in to Premier Inn Winchester from Fri-Sun (as are James and Andy with their ladies!) so we can enjoy the whole weekend too!

October: Spa day… to get over the tough mudder experience!

December: Back to the snow-dome we go for the sequel to your first winter sport experience- only this time it’ll be on skies! Huraaaay for skiing 😉

January: Theatre! The Book of Mormon for some belly-laughs that’ll hopefully eradicate those January blues….

February: Art Class (St Ives)… even better if it’s life drawing 😉 Better practise your poker face! Maybe your Mum and Dad will join us for that too.

MarchTop Golf– because A) you still owe me that date, and B) you’ve always been coy about your golfing skills…!

I love you to the moon and back again, I hope you enjoy all the adventures as they come. Fingers crossed it’ll be a year to remember!

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu!!
